WTO Training
With China's accession into the WTO, the need for the WTO related training has been sharply escalated in the Mainland of China. Supported by its advisors and research fellows, Hong Kong WTO Research Institute as a non-profit organization has successfully organized a series of WTO training programs to cater for needs of the Mainland Chinese governmental departments.
With sophisticated course design, arrangement of high-quality lecturers and coordination of visit tours, the WTO training programs provids learners an in-depth understanding of WTO. The training areas cover WTO History and Framework, GATT, Agricultural Products Trade System, Service Trade System and Operation, TRIMs, Antidumping and Countervailing Duties, Intellectual Property, Environmental Protection and Labour Issues and WTO Dispute Settlement. Since its establishment, the Institute has provided trainings to judges from Shanghai, Jiangsu and Guangdong.
In the future, Hong Kong WTO Research Institute will gear ahead and extend its WTO training to more professionals and organizations. It will also continue to promote the interactions between Hong Kong and the Mainland of China under the WTO framework to benefit both sides.
